The Capital Region Minority Chamber of Commerce partnered with Princeton University and Wells Fargo
Bank in putting on it’s 4th annual Diversity Summit. The Summit was entitled “Strategy for Success” working with higher education. The Summit brought together 100 small minority, women, veteran and LGBT owned businesses with 9 university purchasing departments.
Tony Simmons, the program chair and owner of SBSI Consulting Solutions says “this is an important event. Small businesses should add colleges and universities to their potential business opportunities. I’m sure that with the nine participating universities there are billions of dollars of contracts at stake. It was my goal to connect small businesses with this magnitude of opportunity”.
We will be adding Supplier Diversity to our services. We will be supporting the colleges and universities and the diverse business community with a portal to match opportunities with small businesses. We will launch our portal on September 3, 2018.
